GEORGE GUSTAV ADOMEIT (American, 1879-1967) THE TRANQUIL INLET. Outstanding oil on board coastal scene shows a narrow inlet having a large boathouse/warehouse with boat beside. A dock in the foreground has supplies and boat beside. A scene reminiscent of the outer sections of Cape Cod or possibly one of the areas along the Massachusetts coast. Signed lower right “Geo. Adomeit”. Housed in a period carved and gilt wood frame with glass front and also having a gilt wood artist plaque. SIZE: 14″ x 20″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95050 (2,500-3,500)
