SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1879 TRAPDOOR RIFLE WITH SLING. Cal. 45/70. SN 105604. 32-5/8” rnd bbl. Two cartouches, “SWP” dated 1879, and “JSA” dated 1898. Bridge of receiver over chamber is marked “MASS”. There is a “T” on top of bbl at breech instead of the “R” normally found in that position. CONDITION: Mostly gray/brown patina with some blue on hammer. Stock is very good. Mechanically fine.
