FACTORY ENGRAVED, INSCRIBED 4TH MODEL MERWIN & HULBERT FRONTIER ARMY SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF. SN 15783. Scarce piece, nickel finish with bbl cut to 4” with professionally installed front sight. It has about 80% coverage factory engraving and the presentation “R.L. MERRILL/CHICO, TEXAS/1887” engraved on the sideplate with a Texas 5-point star below. It has nicely fitted beautiful ivory grips. CONDITION: All matching except the grips, which are unnumbered. Mechanics are fine with strong bore. Overall retains about 50% original nickel with balance worn and flaked to a light patina. 4-51267 JR11 (1,250-2,250)
