NORWEGIAN KONGSBERG-JARMANN MODEL 28 HARPOON GUN. Cal. 10.15. SN 18447. Unusual, heavy barreled, single shot, bolt action rifle converted from the Model 1884 rifle in the 1920’s. It has a 19” heavy stepped round bbl with an applied front sight that has been broken off, included in the box. Mounted in a 1-pc cut down stock with checkered wrist and very heavy thick brass buttplate. It is accompanied by its original wood carrying case, a tin of 20 blank cartridges and a tin of what is probably a 5-rnd packet of cartridges (still sealed), another larger tin of about 30 blank cartridges and a tin of 17 original rounds with bullets. Additionally there are two original harpoons with 4-sided heads and articulated expanding wings. Additionally there is an 8-page instruction manual in English and three pieces of correspondence from someone trying to find ammunition. CONDITION: Rifle is fine, retains most of its original finish with a repair in the wrist. Strong bore, dark in the grooves. Ammunition is all fine.
