FINE PENNSYLVANIA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT BLANKET CHEST. Second half 18th century. The hinged rectangular lid with molded edge above the conforming dovetailed case, with mid-molding, fitted with two aligned thumbmolded short drawers on the molded base raised on dovetailed bracket feet with deeply scalloped returns. SIZE: 30″ h. x 54″ l. x 24″ d. CONDITION: Nice condition overall with old surface and good color, original hardware and feet. Seam shrinkage crack in lid. 9-91706 (1,000-1,500)
