JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD. 26-5/8” blade. Plain modern mounts. Fine irregular loop temper line. Spring release hilt is fastened by one brass screw and one mekugi under a lacquered braid wrapping. The scabbard, fuchi and kashira are decorated with light spattered black lacquer. Plan oval tsuba. CONDITION: 4” area of light surface 6” from the tip, otherwise only minor spotting. Scabbard is cracked on one side with losses around the throat and tiny chips missing elsewhere. 4-50147 FS153 (500-1,000)
