NELSON LEWIS PERCUSSION TARGET RIFLE. NSN. 50 Cal. 27-3/4” oct bbl. Missing the false muzzle. Marked “N. LEWIS / MAKER / TROY / N.Y” on the top flat of the bbl. The rear bbl sight has been removed. The front has been replaced with a scope ring. A 32-3/8” telescope is mounted between the ring and the mount on the upper tang. The scope is marked “WM MALCOLM / –& CO.– / SYRACUSE./ — N.Y.– ” on an octagonal German silver plate on top. Dbl set trigger and iron semi Schutzen buttplate. CONDITION: Blue/brown patina on the bbl and hammer. Some casehardening pattern remains on the lockplate. Triggerguard has been broken and brazed. Stock has numerous dents and scratches.
