HENRY MERWIN SHRADY (American, 1871-1922) MODEL OF A HORSES HEAD. Outstanding bronze of an open mouth horse head with bridle and collar. Mounted on a rectangular molded edge green marble base. The signature “Shrady” is on edge of collar. Shrady was best known for his equestrian statue of Washington, Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn. He also sculpted the massive Grant Memorial in Washington, DC. SIZE: Bronze is 15-1/4” h x 14” l. Base is 14-1/2” x 9-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26552 (2,000-4,000)
