DAVID DAVIDOVICH BURLIUK (American, 1882-1967) “DREAM OF PAST”. Interesting thick oil on board scene shows three birds flying over coastal scene with sailboat and castle. A large rock being three-dimensional in relief is seen on a yellow shore. Signed lower left “Burliuk 1950”. Housed in a wide gilt molded wood frame with linen liner. Back of painting has three gallery labels: 1) American Masters Gallery Los Angeles, California. 2) Ernest Raboff Gallery, Los Angeles, California. 3) Mary Burliuk Art Galleries, New York.
