EMIL CARLSON (19th/20th Century) SIGNAL TO THE BATHERS. Large oil on canvas scene shows two young women, one kneeling with blanket wrapped around her next to another who is nude lying down. They are on a grassy section of a beach area showing wild flowers in the foreground. They look out at a sailboat with a person at the bow waiving a white cloth. Nice sunlit ocean with white clouds and blue sky. Signed “Emil Carlson Munchen 88?”. Housed in a gilt molded wood replacement frame. SIZE: 30” x 45-1/2”. CONDITION: Relined. Paint loss to edges.
