ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER NIELLO BOX. The rectangular antique silver box with rounded sides depicts a Niello work scene in the top of a horse and carriage in a city background. The reverse of the box with checkered Niello work. The interior hallmarked with the silver purity mark “84” and hallmarked “1878” and carrying Russian Cyrillic letters, “??”. SIZE: 4-1/4”l x 2-1/2”w. CONDITION: A couple of small dents and Niello work evenly worn on both sides of box. (450-750)
