VLADIMIR PAVLOSKY (American, 1884-1944) “SUNDAY IN THE HILLS”. Outstanding large oil on canvas shows two ladies in foreground with mountain landscape as backdrop. One is seated wearing blue/white dress and white hat with blue ribbon. Other is facing her standing wearing a pink dress and holding hat at side. Wooded valley with high mountains beyond. A tree on each side of scene in early fall foliage. Appears to be a New Hampshire White Mountains scene. Signed lower left “Vladimir Pavlosky”. Housed in its original gilt molded wood frame. Jordan Marsh Company Exhibition label affixed to back from Art Week in Boston April 7-20 1935. Label has artist, address and title. SIZE: 34-1/4” x 40”.
