ALTERED COLT 1860 ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44. SN 185021. Parts gun that may have been a conversion at one time, now restored to percussion. It has 5-1/2″ rnd bbl with properly relocated front sight, rebated cylinder, brass trigger guard, iron backstrap with 1-pc wood grips. The bbl is numbered “141552”, the trigger guard “129177”, with a small “US” underneath, the backstrap “23129” and the cylinder is unnumbered. The rammer slot is professionally filled like a Colt conversion. CONDITION: Fair to good. No orig finish remains being a medium gray patina with some fine surface spotting. Grips are probably old replacements with a gouge on the right side. Mechanics are fine, strong dark bore. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54695 JR293 (500-800)
