EDWARD MORAN (American, 1829-1901) FISHING BOATS OFF COASTLINE. Oil on canvas laid on masonite scene shows two fishing boats close to shore with net floats out and figures on board. Rocky cliff on right side with large town with buildings on shore with hill background having castle. Signed lower left “Edward Moran”. Housed in an antique gesso decorated regilt frame with Marshall Field & Co. label. SIZE: 12” x 20”. CONDITION: Inpainting mostly around edges, fine craquelure. Very good. 9-26119 (5,000-8,000)
