A JACOBEAN STYLE CARVED OAK HOURGLASS, AN OVAL BRASS SNUFF BOX PROBABLY DUTCH, AND A SILVERED OVAL SNUFF BOX PROBABLY PERSIAN. The first two 18th century; the third 19th century. The first, an hourglass within a hexagonal frame with spiral twist supports. The second, a brass snuff box lidded, the front decorated with cherubs holding a crown. The third, of oval form with hinged lid decorated with a recumbent lion within a floral-decorated cartouche, the sides with floral repousse. SIZE: First: 9″ h. Second: 4-1/2″ l. Third: 5-1/2″ l. CONDITION: The first, in need of restoration. The second, worn through at the front, seam splits. The third, with expected denting and wear. 9-92000 (300-500)
