Exceptionally well defined in an elegant form having all the qualifications that make Rookwood the world’s most sought after American art pottery. Marked underneath with an R and two flames and the numbers and letters 781 S along with the impressed letters L and then a W. Signed by renowned artist Shirayamadani (for Kataro Shirayamadani), circa 1902. SIZE: 19” h x 11” dia. CONDITION: Typical fine craquelure in the glazing with a there is a slight hairline across the outside of the bottom base which appears to me to be almost a slight firing line.
