PAUL W. PATTON (American, 20th Century) “RIX MILLS REMEMBERED, 1920’s and 1930’s”. Interesting outsider art oil on canvas scene shows small town with houses, stores and church. A birds eye view shows people in yard, livestock, farms, car and people under a blue sky with billowy white clouds. Signed lower right “P. Patton”. Housed in a molded oak wood frame. Back of painting has diagram of painting with legend indicating building names and owners. Also a long typed history of the town. Rix Mills is a central Ohio village on Rte 313 in Muskingum County.
