FRANKLIN DULLIN BRISCOE (American, 1844-1903) “SHIPPING BOSTON HARBOR”. Outstanding large oil on canvas nautical scene shows a three-mast green hulled schooner sailing right to left with fourteen other sails on the horizon. White capped green ocean and land on left side. Signed bottom right “Briscoe”. Housed in a fine gesso decorated gilt modern frame with Guido Frame Studio stamp. Back having an old Vose Gallery of Boston label. SIZE: 30” x 50”. CONDITION: Relined, some minor inpainting. Very good. 9-90272 HP (8,000-12,000)
