ABBOTT FULLER GRAVES (American, 1859-1936) FISHING IN FRANCE. Fine oil on panel scene shows two boats, one with two men fishing on water, the other a rowboat next to shore with two ladies aboard. Low pasture with farm in distance. Signed lower right “Abbott Graves”. Original gilt carved wood frame. REFERENCE: This may be a study for the larger composition titled “French Fisherman” which was sold by our galleries as lot 772 August 23rd, 2001. SIZE: 5-1/2” x 10”. CONDITION: Very good.
