FINE FRENCH 18K YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMELED BROOCH. The handcrafted cut-out brooch has a hand painted, bezel mounted enameled insert of a young maiden. The piece has applied green/gold leaves to the outside rounded, rectangular frame. A hinged, two part drop contains fine cut-out filigree work with similarly colored leaves. A bowtie top. The enamel is surrounded by a string of seed pearls. French eagle head hallmark representing 18k on back. Total weight: 16.5dwt. SIZE: 3-34” h x 1-1/2”w. CONDITION: Gold work very good, some rubs and cracks on enamel. GIA appraisal accompanies lot. 8-87432 (2,000-4,000)
