ENGLISH SHORT DROP REGULATOR CLOCK. Third Quarter 19th Century. The Victorian inlaid rosewood case, the octagonal frame centering a painted dial within a brass bezel and Roman numeral chapter ring with time and strike apertures, the brass eight-day movement is spring driven. Above the rectangular throat flanked by carved walnut filets. Fitted with a carved door opening to pendulum bob. The whole with lined chevron contrasting inlays of exotic woods. SIZE: 28″ h x 17-1/2″ overall w. CONDITION: Case retains original, old washed surfaces. The movement appears to have been cleaned recently, the dial has been repainted.
