Large oil on canvas scene shows a soldier with helmet and lance wearing a red robe receiving and holding a man’s hand who is kneeling and looking up. Beside is a mother and child. Three other soldiers and two figures with a Roman landscape having building background. Housed in an antique gesso decorated thin frame. SIZE: 71-3/4″ x 56-3/4″.
