GALLE WHEEL CARVED VASE. Extremely rare Galle vase has maroon and orange overlapping leaves with intricate wheel carved veins. Leaves are set against a frosted clear background. Vase is finished with a deep maroon saucer foot. Signed on top of the foot with engraved “Galle”. Similar example is pictured in the book Carved & Decorated European Art Glass by Ray & Lee Grover, page 141, fig. 206. SIZE: 5″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor crazing on the pedestal from the making. 5-69289 (10,000-15,000)
