ATTRIBUTED TO WARREN B. DAVIS (American, 1865-1928) NYMPHS IN THE WOODS. Oil on canvas shows a nighttime woodland scene with three nymphs amongst heavy woods with greenish/blue background. Bottom right shows evidence of a partial signature which is illegible. The old stretcher has some writing on it. Housed in a replacement decorative painted frame. SIZE: 18” x 14”. PROVENANCE: From a fine Islesboro, Maine home. CONDITION: Relined, craquelure, good with some inpainting. 9-23886 (500-800)
