COLT LIGHTENING MEDIUM FRAME CARBINE. Cal 44. SN 76258. Standard carbine with 20” rnd bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and smooth carbine steel buttplate. Receiver has a staple and ring in the left side and the magazine tube and buttstock are mounted with factory sling swivels. The bbl has a barleycorn front sight and the usual reverse mounted ladder rear sight. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains 94-96% strong bright original blue overall with minor handling and use marks with slight thinning on magazine tube. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Bright shiny bore with a couple of spots of light pitting. 4-50944 JR16 (3,000-5,000)
