BLUE DECORATED 3-GAL JUG, FORT EDWARD, N.Y. Late 19th century. The salt-glazed jug marked with the numeral “3” and “NEW YORK STONEWARE CO. FORT EDWARD, N.Y.” above a cobalt-blue decorated panel depicting a songbird on branches with stylized leaves, having an applied handle. SIZE: 15-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a Vassalboro, Maine Family Estate. CONDITION: The neck with half-inch flake on exterior rim; three vertical 1-1/4″ firing cracks around base rim, some old early chips in base rim.
