ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES WEBSTER HAWTHORNE (American, 1872-1930) “PROVINCETOWN BEACH”. Outstanding oil on board beach scene shows five young children playing with pond boats in shallow water next to green and red boats. Two sailboats are seen in deeper water beyond other anchored boats. Unsigned. Housed in a fine carved and gilt modern frame. Pencil inscription on reverse with title. Also “No 7”. SIZE: 13” x 15”.
