FARMER BRITISH FLINTLOCK MARTIAL PISTOL. NSN. 72 Cal. 12” rnd bbl. Marked “FARMER / 1759” vertically at the tail of the lockplate, with crowns over a broad arrow and “GR” in front of the hammer. There are unidentified marks on top of the bbl and tang. The ramrod is a replacement. There is a large brass bushing around the touchhole. The inside of the pan shows filing marks. CONDITION: Bbl has been lightly cleaned but some light pitting remains. Lockplate has a smooth gray patina. Brass is mellow. Large chip out of the wood at the rear of the lockplate and numerous small dents and scratches. Mechanically good. Wm. Hancock Collection 4-58630 FS621 (3,500-4,500)
