IMPORTANT ROCOCO CARVED ROSEWOOD TURTLE TOP CENTER TABLE. Third quarter 19th century. An important example in the manner of John Henry Belter, with insert Carara marble top within a gadrooned shaped serpentine border above the conforming molded frieze carved with scrolling flowerheads, each corner with carved pineapple pendant finial, raised on a bulbous reeded pedestal ring-turned and gadrooned, the base with floral carved paterae, raised on four scrolling foliate-carved legs, each mounted with a carved pineapple finial, and raised on casters. SIZE: 30″ h. x 47-1/2″ l. x 33″ w. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Professionally refinished and restored. No damages noted.
