UNSIGNED (British School, 19th Century) PAIR OF CHILDREN GENRE SCENES. Both oil on canvas paintings identically housed in fancy gilt pierced frames. One showing a boy blowing bubbles while a little girl watches. The boy is sitting on a half keg near a firing kiln. The other shows a boy & girl playing with a toy sailboat in a low tub of water with open door to street and houses. The back frame having Watson Framing Label, London, England. SIZE: 12″ x 10″. PROVENANCE: From a fine Islesboro, Maine home. CONDITION: Very good with surface dirt, one with a small inpainted spot. 9-23860 (1,000-2,000)
