JOHNSON BROTHERS “PAREEK” SERVICE PLATES, GROUP OF TWENTY-TWO. Early 20th century. Each ivory plate with a scrolling polychrome floral border, eleven decorated with a large central handpainted floral spray within a gilt border. The remaining eleven with a central handpainted floral panel of Oriental motif. All marked on the reverse “PAREEK/Johnson Bros/England” with crown mark underglaze. SIZE: Each 10-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine Coastal Maine private collection. CONDITION: Many with crackled glaze. The paint and gilding very good overall. One with hairline. 9-93920 (800-1,200)
