*RARE PARKER DHE GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 236505. Built on a “000” frame with 26” Titanic Steel bbls choked IMP-MOD/IMP-MOD with tapered, concave, matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, ejectors & Parker sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very nicely figured, flame & shell grain, checkered, American walnut with splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14” over a skeleton, checkered buttplate. Bottom of stock has a silver initial oval engraved “NGJ”. Receiver & appended metal parts are engraved in typical “D” patterns consisting of the vignettes of a bird dog on each side and four pheasants on the floorplate, all surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns with “PARKER” on bottom. Accompanied by its orig hang tag which indicates the left bbl was originally full choke and the right bbl improved-modified choke and further identifies it as found. Also accompanying is the orig directions tag. Additionally accompanied by its orig, green velvet lined, chocolate brown, leather trunk case compartmented in bottom for shotgun & with a covered hinged lid compartment plus another empty compartment. This shotgun will letter as found. Unable to gauge bore diameter, bore restrictions & wall thickness. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 5 lbs. 14.8 oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 97-98% strong, orig, factory blue with only faint muzzle edge wear. Receiver retains virtually all of its orig factory case colors, lightly faded, turning to silver on bottom. Forearm has a grain check on right side about 3” from the tip, otherwise wood is sound and retains virtually all of its orig factory finish with only very minor nicks & scratches. It has been fired, but very little. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. The tags are moderately yellowed & the case shows light edge wear and some minor scuffing with very minor soiling inside. 4-30399 JR407 (35,000-50,000)
