*COGSWELL & HARRISON DOUBLE RIFLE. Cal. 375 Express (375 Flanged). SN 43154. Fine boxlock dbl rifle with 25” bbls, ramp front sight with hood & 3-leaf platinum line express sight marked “1”, “2” & “3” on a quarter rib. It has dbl lugs with extractor & dbl triggers. Bbls are marked with maker’s name & address and “SERVICE CHARGE, 40GRS CORDITE / 270 GRS BULLET” is on the rib. Mounted with very highly figured, flat checkered English walnut with splinter forearm & pistol grip stock with an applied shallow cheekpiece, 14-1/2” over a solid red recoil pad. It has metal grip cap with safari sling eye on bbls and a corresponding sling eye on stock. Drop at heel: 2”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 9 lbs, .32 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains virtually all of a fine, professionally restored finish to both bbls & wood with only slight edge wear on bbls. Receiver retains about all of its strong, orig case colors, brilliant in sheltered areas with bright orig blue on floorplate & triggerguard. Wood is sound with minor storage & handling marks.
