*EXCEPTIONALLY RARE BSW LUFTWAFFE OVER-UNDER SHOTGUN. SN 54058. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 26-3/4″ Mono-block barrels with double Kersten extension, have full length raised matted rib. Left side of top bbl is stamped “Fluss – Stahl Krupp – Essen”. Right side of mono-block is stamped with Luftwaffe flying eagle clutching swastika. Left side of bottom bbl is stamped “Gustloff Werke – Waffenwerk Suhl”. Mono-block portion of bottom bbl is stamped with German nitro proofs for 12 ga. at 70 mm with proof date of 8/41. Rear lump is stamped with SN on left side, and waffenampt on bottom. Case hardened scallop back, bolstered, Blitz action has non-automatic safety, pin type cocking indicators, and double triggers. “BSW”, SN, and nitro proof marks are on top flats. Top lever, safety button, triggers, and trigger guard are blued. Rather plain, but streaked, European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/16″ over ribbed composition buttplate, and has composition grip cap, and 20 LPI flattop point pattern checkering with line border. Right rear of buttstock is stamped with Luftwaffe eagle clutching swastika. Three piece forend has Deeley release, and scallop pattern checkering with mullered borders. Bore diameter: top -.728, bottom -.728. Bore restrictions: top -.027, bottom -.026. Wall thickness: top -.047, bottom -.045. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Weight: 6 lbs. 15 oz, LOP 14-5/16″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl retains 95% original blue, silvering at muzzles, with minor scratches, and slight rubs. Action retains 80-85% original case color, silvered and browning on top and bottom edges, thinning at points of most normal wear. Blued parts are silvered only slightly on sharp edges. Stocks retain most of their original finish, but with numerous marks, scrapes, and compressions from handling and use. Thumb-sized area near grip cap on right side is heavily compressed. Forend iron and latch have more than 50% of their case hardening colors, but have thinned and silvered. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Bores are excellent. 4-39723 MGM107 (6,000-8,000)
