TWO LOUWELSA WELLER TANKARDS. 1) Lovely Louwelsa Weller tankard features dark brown shading to green background with portrait of a smiling rotund monk with brown robe and cap and white curly hair. Tankard is signed on the underside “Louwelsa Weller 580” with artist initial “F” for Charles Fouts. 2) Tankard features dark brown shading to green background with painting of a monk in brown robe holding a stein. Tankard is finished with a high gloss glaze and is marked on the underside “Louwelsa Weller 580” and artist initial “K” for L. Knaus. SIZE: Each 12-1/2″ t. CONDITION: 1) Very good with a light 3″ horizontal scratch near the foot. 2) Very good with light 2″ vertical scratch to the side near the foot and some missing glaze on inside edge of lip. 5-60711 (800-1,200)
