Overduin, Adrianus Eversen: 1818-1897, Amsterdam, 2010, p. 258, no. 44 Born in Amsterdam, Eversen is widely considered to be one of Holland’s most important painters of 19th century town views. Popular during his lifetime, his works were internationally collected and are featured in numerous public and private collections. A member of the elite Arti et Amicitiae artist’s association, Eversen was known for his minutely detailed, almost topographical scenes.
