ATTRIBUTED TO SIDNEY RICHARD PERCY (British 1821-1886) CASTLE RUINS IN LANDSCAPE. Oil on canvas landscape scene shows a building ruins atop a rocky bluff with large waterfall and cascading river. A fisherman in Scottish dress is in foreground at river pool. A figure with horse is below castle, giving proportion to the massive building. Unsigned. Housed in a magnificent gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 25″ x 33″. CONDITION: Restretched on slightly smaller stretcher, inpainting, very good. 9-26638 (4,000-8,000)
