GEORGE OHR JEFFERSON MUG. Wonderful George Ohr pottery mug is incised around the body with the following saying “Here’s your good health and your family’s and may they all live long and prosper” “T Jefferson”. The mug is finished in a lightly mottled brownish-green glaze with a dark brown glaze to the interior. Signed on the underside with impressed block letters “G.E. Ohr, Biloxi.”. Also impressed on the underside in block letters “previous to no. 14 not numbered”. The mug is also dated on the underside “3-18-1896” and marked “no. 21”. SIZE: 3″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Pennsylvania collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-60277 (500-800)
