ATTRIBUTED TO DAVID GILMOUR BLYTHE (American, 1815 – 1865) TEETER-TOTTER. Oil on wood panel shows a make-do see-saw with plank and round log. Two boys hold another up in the air while another boy taunts. A dog looks on in fright as the boy in the red coat is suspended in the air. Two men are seen in the background sawing wood. Unsigned front. Signed on reverse Blythe”. Housed in an antique gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 10″ x 13″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-21718 (3,000-5,000)
