*ITHACA GRADE 4E DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 20 ga. SN 454489. NID model with 28-1/8″ and 30″ vent rib bbls with dbl ivory beads, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Receiver is beautifully engraved with vignette of a flying goose on left side & a pheasant on right side with floral & foliate patterns covering about 50%. Mounted with very highly figured marble cake walnut with black insert checkered beavertail forearm & fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip stock, 14″ over a red Ithaca waffle pad. Drop at the heel: 2-7/8″, drop at the comb: 1-7/8″. Bore restrictions: 30″ bbls left – .029, right – .027; 28″ bbls left – .0275, right – .003. Wall thickness: 30″ bbls left – .031, right – .031; 28″ bbls left – .028, right – .023. Bore diameter: 30″ bbls left – .588, right – .588; 28″ bbls left – .599, right – .608. Weight with 28″ bbls: 6 lbs. 13.12 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. 28″ bbls retain 96-97% strong orig blue. 30″ bbls appear to have a fine professionally restored finish. Front bead on 30″ bbls is chipped. Receiver retains about 40% case colors, mostly in sheltered areas, turned silver elsewhere. Stock has a repaired crack on left side panel & a hairline on same side, otherwise retains most of a professionally restored finish with minor nicks & scratches.
