SYRACUSE LEFEVER GRADE EE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal 12ga. SN 35646E. Early Lefever with 30” fine Damascus bbls, matted tapered rib with single bead, and doll’s head extension. It has nicely engraved receiver and lockplates with vignettes of a setter on the left side and a pointer on the right and a flying duck on the trigger bow surrounded by light patterns of foliate arabesque engraving. It has cocked indicators, double triggers, and ejectors. It is fitted with beautiful shell grain walnut, checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock, 13-3/4” over a serrated pressed horn buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 90% strong Damascus pattern, bright brown in the sheltered areas. Receiver retains about 80% original case colors, thin and faded on the bottom front edge but bright and strong elsewhere. Lockplates retain 96-97% strong bright original case colors. Wood is sound and retains most of its original finish with light handling and use marks. Brilliant shiny bores. 4-51030 JR861 (3,000-5,000)
