SEVERIN ROESEN (American, 1815-1872) STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT AND EMBROIDERED CLOTH. Oil on wood panel scene shows a group of fruit including grapes, peaches, strawberries, plum and pear. It sits on the edge of a marble top slab and partially covered with a gold decorated tablecloth. Signed middle lower right in reverse manner. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame. NOTE: Accompanying painting is a letter regarding the authenticity from Judith Hansen O’Toole regarding this painting. SIZE: 11-3/4” x 16”. CONDITION: Very good.
