HAROLD WESTON (American, 1894-1972) “MOOSE MAPLE BY RIVER”. Oil on board landscape shows a maple sapling next to two trees on a bank of a river. Known for his paintings of the American wilderness, this is a small fine example of his work. Titled on reverse. Signed bottom right “Weston-24″. Biographical information attached to reverse. Housed in a modern gilt molded wood frame with linen and gold liner. SIZE: Sight: 6-1/4″ x 8”. PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME.
