DURAND PEACOCK FEATHER PLATE. Durand plate has green and white peacock feather design on the interior against a clear glass background. The rim of the plate is done in rich green iridescence with a stretched texture. Iridescence has nice red highlights. The plate is finished with an applied white lip and plate is accompanied by a note from Emil Larson stating that he made this plate about 35 years ago when he worked at the Durand factory. The note is dated April 27, 1965. The plate is pictured in the book Durand: The Man & His Glass by Edward J. Meschi, pg. 83, illus. 291. SIZE: 14-7/8″ dia.
