*FOX AE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 301681. Philadelphia built Fox with 28″ bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered concave matted rib, sgl bead, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Receiver is engraved in typical late A-grade patterns with maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. Mounted with very nicely figured shell grain American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & rnd knob semi-pistol grip stock with checkered side panels, 13-3/4″ over a Pachmayr white line solid black pad. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2. Bore restrictions: left – .028, right – .014. Wall thickness: left – .035, right – .038. Bore diameter: left – .631, right – .647. Weight: 6 lbs. 3.84 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 94-95% strong bright orig blue. Receiver retains 60-70% orig case colors, strong & bright in sheltered areas with balance turned silver. Trigger guard retains about 95-96% strong orig blue. Wood is sound & retains about all of a restored finish with freshened checkering. If this shotgun is fired with snap caps it tends to prevent hammers from rebounding & will not allow it to open. Dry firing does not have this effect. It was not tried with live ammunition, otherwise mechanics seem to be fine. Brilliant shiny bores. 4-57919 JR357 (3,000-4,000)
