WEDGWOOD HUMMINGBIRD LUSTRE BOX. Beautiful Wedgwood box is decorated on the exterior with various hummingbirds against a mottled blue lustre background. Top of the box features a colorful hummingbird in flight with flying insects adorning the four corners. Interior of the box is decorated on the bottom with a gold gilt hummingbird against a mottled orange lustre background. Interior of the box, near the lip is further decorated with a band of stylized birds in flight. Signed on the underside with gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England” and “Z5294″ in gold. SIZE: 4″ x 7”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with one tiny fleabite to inside lip of lid and one tiny fleabite to outside lip of box. 5-61891 (1,000-1,500)
