*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 883347. Standard carbine with 20″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight and carbine ladder rear sight. It is fitted with uncheckered gumwood stock & forearm with straight grip and carbine buttplate. There is a staple & ring in the left side of the receiver. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbl & magazine tube retain 96-98% strong bright orig blue with only faint muzzle edge wear and a tiny nick or two. Bands retain most of their orig blue with only light high point wear. Receiver retains 88-90% bright orig blue mixed with light flaked areas which have turned to patina with a halo around the saddle ring area. Wood is sound with a series of bruises on the forearm and a couple of others on the butt stock with other light handling & storage marks. Overall, the wood retains 95-96% strong orig finish.
