*WINCHESTER MODEL 92 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 984338. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4″ rnd bbl, full magazine, standard front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has nicely figured walnut with straight stock & crescent buttplate. The left side of the receiver is pantographed “M.C.B.F.”, no indication of what these initials stand for. CONDITION: Fine plus. Bbl & magazine tube retain 95-97% strong bright orig blue with a small thin spot on top about mid-point and a couple of minor scratches. Receiver retains about 70% thin orig blue with a couple of spots of cleaned rust and fine pitting on the right side. Wood is sound with light very minor handling & use marks on the butt stock, moderate nicks & dings on the forearm and it retains most of its orig bright varnish.
