*CUSTOM PIGEON WINCHESTER MODEL 42 GRADE 5 WITH GOLD TWO BARREL SET. SN 111935. Cal. 410. 26″ bbls both with matted solid ribs, dual silver sighting beads, one choked FULL, one MOD, both with 3″ chambers, wedge of scroll engraving on each side of chamber, pigeon engraved on bbl extension, all with matching SN’s. Receiver has been custom engraved, in a style “5” pattern with 2 gold dogs, and 2 gold ruff grouse in flight in a wooded scene with large foliate scroll with stipple background on left side, right side with sgl gold dog and 2 walking grouse in a wooded scene with bold foliate scroll with stippled background. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered pistol grip, reproduction Winchester hard rubber buttcap, reproduction Winchester hard rubber buttplate, checkered extended forend on each bbl. Bore dimension are not available for 410, Drop at heel:2-1/2″. Drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 6lbs 9 oz, LOP 14-1/8″. CONDITION: Extremely fine as restored & customized. Both bbls, mag tube & receiver retain virtually all of their fine custom bluing, with only a few minor handling marks. Wood is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks, a filled grain opening on lower right side and retains most of its fine custom finish. Both forends are sound with good checkering, minor handling mark or two and retain their fine custom finish. Mechanics are good with shiny bores in both bbls. 4-40090 BDT29 (7,500-10,500)
