*SCARCE PARKER “PIGEON GUN” AAH GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 82343. Built on a #2 frame this spectacular high grade Parker has 30″ Whitworth steel bbls choked MOD/IMP-MOD. It has tapered concave matted rib with sgl bead, doll’s head extension with extractors & gold washed dbl triggers. Rib is marked “PIGEON GUN.” with maker’s name & address & “WHITWORTH STEEL” with a small fleur-de-lis at each end. Receiver has full coverage engraving with patterns of flowers & leaves with foliate arabesque designs. It has maker’s name in a small bar on each side of front of receiver. Fences have a dbl raised rib around back edge. Opening lever, top tang, trigger guard, buttplate & forend iron are engraved to match. Engraving extends about 2″ up bbls with a fine border around muzzles. Mounted with very highly figured, very beautiful Circassian walnut with fleur-de-lis carved & checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered raised carved fleur-de-lis side panels with extensively checkered wrist, 13-1/2″ over a checkered skeleton buttplate. Grip cap has a blank gold initial plate. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-11/16″. Bore restrictions: left – .028, right – .037. Wall thickness: left – .032, right – .032. Bore diameter: left – .704, right – .699. Weight: 7 lbs. 13.76 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain most of their strong bright orig finish with very minor muzzle edge wear. Receiver retains most of its orig case colors, strong in sheltered areas, turning slightly silver on bottom. Trigger guard retains most of its orig blue & triggers most of their orig gold. Wood is sound & retains most of a smooth bright finish that may be a professional restoration but might be original. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores.
